Although the photographs may give a different impression, milled wood does often include millwork flaws such as end-grain checking, sawing scars, planning snipe and/or tear-out, woodgrain run-out, sanding marks, hairline cracks, insect bore holes <1mm in diameter, warping/bowing ±1/16" or other customary milling issues you should expect to address during your dimensioning and final finishing processes.
